“Because he loves me, ‘says the Lord,’ I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my Name.”

You love church leadership, but sometimes it’s hard
During this unique season of lockdown, church leadership is under all sorts of pressure. Negative feelings may feel worse, and its a struggle to provide the pastoral care you want to give. But its just another challenge to face, and that can feel a bit overwhelming at times. We are here to help and support you during those times.
But there are positives too! There’s never been a better time to reflect on the way you ‘do church’. We can also help you focus on the right priorities for you and your people.
So, whether you are in a storm caused by one or more of the challenges I’ve mentioned in the video, or you are looking for a new way forward for your church, please get in touch.

So, we have identified 4 key areas where we can offer help:
Holding hands up>
City Lights - a prayer strategy>
Journey to freedom >
Filling the jars >

Free
Our service is offered freely, as ones who have benefitted from the abundant grace of God. We have seen great fruitfulness in our ministry, by persevering through bad patches, with support from godly men and women. We believe that ‘all things work together for good’ for those serving Jesus in church leadership.
Experience
We desire no position or authority in any church, nor do we expect a season of support and help to be for very long. We just want others to benefit from our experience and to be a blessing in the Kingdom of our Christ. We have a long track record of being a ‘mother and father’ to many in the church and see this as a continuation of that role: mentoring, encouraging, edifying, and comforting.
Support
If you are struggling with any of the 8 Challenges I highlight in the video above, then we offer a few opportunities to support you. These range from Pastoral Support for you and your spouse, to a number of teaching topics for leadership teams or for the entire church, to help you take your church forward. We are happy to tailor these to suit your particular situation.
Margaret and Iain Wight
Who are we?
Iain and Margaret spent 25 years pastoring two local churches in Rochdale (near Manchester). During that time they experienced many of the struggles common to those called to church leadership, in whatever church stream. They now believe God is calling them to serve the Kingdom of Christ by getting alongside leaders, including wives and families, who may be going through sticky patches – either personally or in the church.
There will be no charge for any of these ministries, but if a church is able to help out with ‘out of pocket’ expenses (such as travel costs), then donations would be appreciated!
Michael Dubrovsky (Leader, The Fathers House, Moscow) says “Margaret & Iain were in pastoral minisitry more than 25 years. So they have a rich experience how to deal with difficult people, how to overcome financial and psychological difficulties, how to solve conflicts - both among people and with God’s help. But more importantly, they have hearts that are open to people. They are really interested in you personally. And it’s something special to have this interest!”
Keith Gamon (Leader, ChristCentral, Manchester) added, “Iain & Margaret have a treasure trove of experience and wisdom for life and church leadership. Their care and love for others and especially those in leadership is heartfelt and goes the extra mile. I would heartily recommend them to anyone needing an arm round the shoulder and wisdom for the future”.
